...and my fingers are so sticky, I haven't been able to write. Also? My brain is amped up on sugar and maple flavoring and I haven't been able to think. And another thing---my body is weighted down with enriched, bleached flour and I haven't been able to move. And the ecstasy I've experienced from eating these delicious creatures has rendered me completely blind.
This is a problem because I have gifts to wrap and food to cook and children to raise and a husband to love. And horses to feed and laundry to fold and stockings to stuff and wine to drink.
That last thing isn't really drudgery...but it's definitely on my list.
Signing off for two days of Christmas fun. I'll miss you all with every ounce of my moronic, fat, sedentary, blind body...but I'll look forward to reuniting with you Tuesday.
Whew, thanks Ree. I felt agitated when a new post didn't pop up this morning. My morning coffee was simply not right without reading the Pioneer Woman. We'll allow you a short break - but you better be back on Tuesday, man.

I've been thinking of you PW.....SUCH a long list in the pre-Christmas days and wondered if you would take a short break from blogging.

yyuummmm....cinnamon buns. Of all the food overflowing in this house right now we don't have those....and now... I want those...to go with the glass of wine I am drinking, after enjoying some sushi earlier, while waiting for my steak, lobster tail, scallops and prawns. Talk about wonderful excess.

I am a twelve hour drive and ferry ride away from home with my husband and three small children at his sister's, with all of his siblings, their families and his dad. There are 9 adults and 10 children ranging from 1-20(I guess the 18 and 20 aren't really children)in the same house for the next three days and it is fun!

Hey Ree, I'm with everyone else, I'd love that recipe. It's not a family secret is it?? I hope not. I hope you and your family have a joyful Christmas. The fun has already started here. Did you know you can track santa's stops through google earth? He's in cambodia now (well at about 8:40am CST). The kids and I will track him all day. Have fun, loads of love.

I've been making (and tasting) Apple Butter along with all the other Christmas baking and cooking. Totally amped up on sugar and about to settle into a lovely glass of sherry for the night (it's 11:30pm in UK now). Then take a huge bite out of a carrot and hit the sack.
